It's game day: LSU at Arkansas

A good Saturday to you from Fayetteville, Arkansas.

It's a chilly morning here in the Ozark foothills, but the game scheduled for tonight is a hot one indeed. No. 8-ranked LSU (5-1, 2-0 SEC) takes on Arkansas (4-2, 2-1) at Reynolds Razorback Stadium at 6 p.m. on ESPN.

LSU's 29-26 overtime victory against Ole Miss last week was a big one, but now that it's in the past, this game may be bigger. A loss doesn't gut the Tigers' chances of making the 12-team College Football Playoff, but a win puts LSU in ever bettter shape with more huge games awaiting.

One of the keys to victory for LSU is the play of the Tigers' linebacker brothers Whit and West Weeks. Our Wilson Alexander profiles the brothers in this week's main game day feature.

LSU is a slim 2.5-point favorite over Arkansas. Who do you thin will win — or perhaps more importantly to some — will cover? Check out our LSU beat team's picks, which may encourage you to pick or bet with us — or run the other way.

Probably a wise move.

Gabe Henderson writes about five top games around the country this weekend.

And, finally, the full 2025 schedule for the LSU gymnastics team is now complete. Check out who the reigning NCAA and SEC champions will face and when.

That's all for now, everyone. Thank you for reading and subscribing to the best and most comprehensive LSU coverage anywhere.

Enjoy your college football Saturday everyone,

Scott Rabalais
