It’s not the year for perfect.

We’re about a week into the new year, which means that most families have already had at least one not-so-great moment. Someone likely overslept or forgot to take the chicken out of the freezer. Or maybe those sound like good days because the realities you’re facing are much darker and harsher.

If you’re tempted to get discouraged when family life gets complicated, know this: Christian families throughout history have fallen down and gotten back up time and again. Take heart in the stories of a few faith ancestors whose family lives were often far from perfect. Even in their sin, mistakes, and challenging circumstances, God glorified himself in their lives.
