It's not too late to ditch the turkey!

Turkeys are wonderful, but they're a lot of work. Sometimes, simpler is better. If a turkey is not working for you this year, stick it in the freezer and move on.

My number one backup is a ham. You can still run downtown and get one. And you don't have to bake it. Use the insta pot or nuke what you need to heat.

And mashed potatoes and gravy, that's a lot of work. Twice-baked potatoes is an alternative. You can do a smaller batch of mashed potatoes in the crockpot.

And while you're picking up that ham, pick up a couple of pies--and some dinner rolls. See, you're almost done.

A day with loved ones, without the pressure, is an attractive alternative.

Make homemade bread for your family this season!

Homemade bread is better bread. It tastes better, the selection is better, and without the preservatives, it's better for you. Buy bread mixes from $2.99.

Pick a pomegranate honey or another flavor!

If you think of honey as plain honey, then you haven't tasted Huckleberry Honey, Strawberry Rhubarb Honey, or eleven others; it's exciting. And it makes a thoughtful gift or a fun adventure for your family.

Make cookies to share and enjoy!

Free Snickerdoodle Cookies is a fine choice. People are loving our new Cowboy Cookies. And Peanut Butter Chocolate Cookies are always a hit. Find more here.

Make a holiday cobbler--easy and special!

Create a holiday cobbler--like a Caramel Apple Cobbler with cranberries and nuts or a Mango Coconut Cream Cobbler. Use frozen peaches and bring the summer back. Cobbler is easier than pie.

Make fabulous bread pudding with leftover bread or rolls!

Bread pudding is fabulous! It's not difficult or exacting. After your bread gets three or four days old, it belongs in a bread pudding.

Make breakfast special with Make-Ahead French toast!

Make-Ahead French Toast is a busy entertainer's (busy mom's) dream. It's simple to do, and you can make it up as much as five days in advance and put it in the fridge. Then all you do is stick it in the oven when you're ready to eat.
