Like music, it's hard to get out of the bubble of the mainstream internet service providers (ISPs) like Comcast, Verizon and AT&T if you're nasty.
 
But other options exist, and maybe you use them. What're the local indie ISPs you know about, like Project Waves, Harborlink or Port Networks?
