Strong and steady job growth continues with 275K new jobs in February The economy added 275,000 jobs in February, according to the latest data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics. That makes nearly 15 million jobs since President Biden took office, and two straight years with a jobless rate below 4%. Budget proposal outlines supports for workers, jobseekers and more The proposed budget for fiscal year 2025 outlines a strategy to increase worker protections, protect the unemployment insurance system, create jobs and expand pathways to good jobs. âWith the $13.9 billion in discretionary resources President Biden has called for, the Department of Labor can fulfill the promise to empower all workers to succeed in our growing economy,â said Acting Secretary Su. |
