95% of business leaders say their crisis management capabilities need improvement (PWC) and only 32% of organizations surveyed say their company engages in crisis simulations or training (Deloitte). When was your last crisis simulation? It’s the only way to diagnose the strengths and weaknesses of your plan, the types of responses you’ll need, where the bottlenecks are—and how the team reacts under pressure. We’ll work with you to develop, lead and staff a crisis simulation workshop, in-person or by video conference, for your crisis team, including leadership. That includes: - Prep session: We’ll meet with you and identify two to three scenarios most appropriate for a simulation, as well as which stakeholders to include. However, the specific simulation will remain a surprise to all staff.
- Prep packet: We’ll prepare an informational folder that includes the crisis plan and some minimal instructions for the simulation (e.g., timing of breaks, restrictions on other calls/meetings, etc.).
- Crisis scenario slides and materials: As the mock crisis unfolds, we’ll present new information vividly with slides, handouts and emails/calls from people playing the roles of reporters, employees and other stakeholders.
- Report: After the simulation, we’ll provide a detailed report of our findings, including an assessment of areas for improvement and recommendations for the next steps.
