Harvest Done? It’s Time to Share Yield Data with Your Crop Insurance Agent
 
With harvest in the homestretch, now is a good time to schedule a meeting with your crop insurance agent to provide your actual crop production numbers. The final harvest prices for crop insurance for 2022 crops are $6.86 per bushel for corn and $13.81 per bushel for soybeans.

Each year, EPA sets a renewable fuel standard (RFS), which requires gas and diesel be blended with a minimum volume of renewable fuels. Small fuel refiners can petition EPA to be exempt from fulfilling the RFS obligations due to “disproportionate economic hardship.” In a study released on Thursday, the U.S. Government Accountability Office found small oil refineries pay more than larger competitors to fulfill their blending obligations.
