It was a difficult year for restaurants in 2022. At least 30 in Lafayette Parish shut down.

By ADAM DAIGLE | Acadiana Business Editor

Happy Friday, Acadiana. Let's get going with your business headlines of the day.

We're talking restaurant news this morning. I have the annual list of eateries that closed their doors this year, and the list is larger than usual. While there’s no scientific data available, the number of eateries that closed in 2022 was more than the previous two years combined.

What's to blame? It's hard to pin down, but here are the likely culprits: cost of goods, workforce struggles or supply chain issues. It's been a tough year.

You can read the story here.

Have a great day and see you back here Monday morning.
