Dear Sir or Madam, ITB Berlin has put together measures to minimise the effects in the event of strikes by ground crew at Berlin’s airports. The social media channels Facebook and Twitter also have live updates on ITB Berlin. ITB Berlin advises visitors from Germany and abroad to contact their airlines directly for updates on the situation and if necessary take other forms of transport such as trains, buses or cars. Visitors can travel swiftly and in comfort to ITB Berlin with a Deutsche Bahn ITB Berlin event ticket from any DB mainline railway station in Germany. The price of a 2nd class single ticket is 49.50 euros and a 1st class ticket costs 79.50 euros. The price of a ’flexible’ 2nd class single ticket is 69.50 euros and the same ticket costs 99.50 euros for 1st class. DB event tickets are valid from 6 to 14 March 2017. From 8 to 12 March visitors arriving by car can use the ICC indoor car park or the parking area in front of the Olympic Stadium, where a shuttle bus service (M1) will provide transport to the southern entrance of Messe Berlin. The bus tour operator FlixBus lets visitors travel in comfort and is offering trade visitors a 25 per cent discount on single and return fares. The cost of a ticket includes on-board Wi-Fi and a guaranteed seat. Refreshments are available at low prices. The bus stop (ZOB Berlin) is in close proximity to the exhibition grounds.For more information please call +49 (0) 30 300 127 137. At ITB Berlin various shuttle bus services are available offering swift and free transport for visitors to the exhibition grounds. The following bus routes will be operating this year: the ‘M1’ shuttle bus from the parking area at the Olympic Stadium to the southern entrance of Messe Berlin; the ’A’ route City Shuttle from the bus stop on Unter den Linden/ Friedrichstrasse to the southern entrance; and the ’B’ route City Shuttle from Wittenbergplatz to the southern entrance. Bus transport for transferring visitors to the hotels participating in the shuttle services is also guaranteed. A note to all visitors who may experience delays in travelling to ITB Berlin because of the event of strikes: if necessary, trade visitors can also make use of the weekend for their meetings.
