ITVT/TVOT is pleased to present another episode of âTelevisionation,â our new video/audio podcast exploring the advanced/interactive-TV industry in the Coronavirus/Covid-19 Era.
This episode features Neal Baer, a prominent pediatrician and television writer/producer, known both for his work in medicine and on such shows as âER,â âLaw & Order: Special Victims Unit,â and âDesignated Survivor.â
Among other things, he discusses his television work, which includes an uncannily prescient âDesignated Survivorâ storyline about a pandemic, as well as a new project, âThe Edit,â which explores CRISPR technology; talks about the difficulty of producing shows during social distancing and describes some innovative ways that the industry has found to address that difficulty; and explains how his work in television reflects his interests and passions in medicine.
