TVOT LIVE Panel: Busby, Oslund, Wiener, Weisbord: “Is Broadcast The TV of Tomorrow?”

ITVT is pleased to present “Is Broadcast The TV of Tomorrow?,” a panel from our recent, week-long virtual conference, TVOT LIVE! Spring 2021. Here’s the description of the panel, which was conceived and moderated by Rick Howe, The iTV Doctor, from the conference agenda:
 
“Local broadcast television has seen a resurgence of audience and engagement during the Covid-19 Pandemic, and local advertising revenue is growing after years of decline. Our panel of station group owners and network groups will debate whether broadcast has a place in the ‘TV of Tomorrow’ ecosystem. We will touch on (but not get lost in) the impact of ATSC 3.0, the TRUST that viewers have in their local broadcast news personalities, and the latency advance that broadcast holds over any re-distribution (whether cable, satellite or streaming) of live sports—a VERY important issue with the rapid deployment of in-game sports betting”.
