Here’s more on this Thursday’s get-together: SVOD providers are raising prices and cutting content in a bid to make their D2C services profitable. However, investing in search and discovery can boost engagement and cut churn from record levels without viewer pain. It can also boost engagement by 30+%, a huge revenue booster for ad-supported services. In this session, we’ll explore how to make search and discovery work harder for streaming TV services: the session will begin with Colin Dixon, Chief Analyst at nScreenMedia, presenting new research from his “Follow the Money” series; this will be followed by a discussion with Chris Ambrozic, GM of Discovery, and Matt McSweeney, VP of Sales at TiVo/Xperi.
