TVOT CONNECT yesterday was a very engaged group for the whole hour! The discussion was led by the great Brad Samuels of Eagle Dock Media (member). Everybody was focused on how #creators transition from YouTube to traditional television (#CTV), why and opportunities to make a great channel from creator content. Kevin Kurtz (member), co-founder of the Bold Baking Network, highlighted the success of his channel, which has 8 million followers and 500 million video views. Charlie Ibarra and Joseph Ochoa from Creator Television emphasized the importance of authenticity and inclusivity in creator content, noting that 50% of Gen Z'ers prefer watching TV shows with their favorite online creators. The panel also discussed the need for better data, community services and interactivity on CTV platforms to enhance viewer engagement and monetization.

There were many questions and interaction throughout from members and registered attendees!

NOTE: Only members get access to the full on-demand recording.

Friday Fireside: Ex-Whip Media CEO, Carol Hanley, on Sports’ Impact on Streaming

The Friday Fireside is proud to welcome Carol Hanley, ex-CEO of Whip Media. Hold on to your hats, because Carol has a lot to say about the growing impact of sports on streaming, AI and content personalization, and how streaming aggregators will gain popularity as both portals and platforms, and thereby compete for both direct-to-consumer dollars and advertising spend.
