In May 2022, Jack Nicklaus was sued by his own business in the case captioned Nicklaus Companies, LLC v. Jack W. Nicklaus, and it has no clear end in sight. Nearly a year later in April, Nicklaus filed a defamation lawsuit against Howard Milstein, his longtime business partner and the CEO of The Nicklaus Companies. What’s going on here? It’s messy and hard to understand.
