Tyler Allgeier, who looks to be emerging late in the season as the Falcons' go-to running back. 

Allgeier has spent much of his rookie season as Cordarrelle Patterson's backup, but there has been a changing of the guard in recent weeks. Allgeier had 17 carries for 139 yards in a breakout performance in Week 15, and then followed that up with an even bigger role in Week 16, rushing 18 times. However, the bigger change in his usage came in the passing game, as Allgeier ran a route on 54% of the team's pass plays and ended up with five targets. Add in three of the team's four running back touches from inside the 10-yard line, and, well … this actually looks like it could be a pretty good situation for him.

It helps that rookie Desmond Ridder has led to a change in how the Falcons offense operates, with the two highest high-value touch games of the season for running backs coming in Ridder's two starts. This still isn't a great offense, but they've been able to run the ball all season, and now Allgeier and Patterson don't have to deal with Marcus Mariota taking valuable touches near the goal line. 

And they've got an excellent matchup on the way with the Cardinals on the schedule this week. The Cardinals allow the sixth-most PPR points to opposing running backs on the season, including the fourth-most receptions to the position and the eighth-highest yards per carry. Allgeier is averaging a hefty 4.9 yards per carry for the season, and he ranks sixth in rushing yards over expected per attempt, per NFL Next Gen Stats , so there does appear to be a pretty solid skill set here.

Start 'Em: Kirk Cousins and Justin Fields

"Fields is dealing with foot and shoulder injuries that are worth monitoring, but as long as he plays you should expect him to produce at a high level. He has a great matchup in Week 17 at Detroit, and he beat up the Lions in Week 10 for 167 passing yards, two touchdowns and one interception, along with 147 rushing yards and two touchdowns. Fields needs 196 rushing yards to break Lamar Jackson 's record of most rushing yards by a quarterback (1,206) set in 2019, and it would be awesome if he did that over the next two games. It also helps that six of the past seven quarterbacks against Detroit has scored at least 22 Fantasy points."

Sit 'Em: Deshaun Watson and Tom Brady

"It wouldn't surprise me if Brady had a big game in Week 17 against Carolina. The Panthers just lost cornerback Jaycee Horn (wrist) and allowed Jared Goff to score 31 Fantasy points against them in Week 16. But Brady struggled at lowly Arizona in Week 16 with just 13 Fantasy points, and he only scored 11 points at Carolina in Week 7. He has seven interceptions in his past four games, and the Panthers are trying to steal the NFC South title from the Buccaneers in this matchup. I'm not willing to trust Brady as a No. 1 quarterback in the Fantasy championship."

Start 'Em: Leonard Fournette and Jerick McKinnon

"Fournette has taken over the Tampa Bay backfield again, and he was awesome in Week 16 at Arizona with 20 carries for 72 yards and nine catches for 90 yards on 10 targets. He hasn't scored a touchdown since Week 10, but he does have seven games in a row with at least 10 PPR points, mostly due to his work in the passing game. Despite sharing playing time with Rachaad White , Fournette still has 25 catches on 28 targets in his past four outings. This week, he's taking on a Panthers team that has allowed just one running back to score more than 10 PPR points since Week 9, but Fournette will be tough to stop based on his role in the passing game right now."

Sit 'Em: Latavius Murray and Jeff Wilson

"Chase Edmonds was active for Week 16 at the Rams, and the Broncos used a three-headed backfield with Edmonds, Murray and Marlon Mack. That left Murray with a reduced role of just eight carries for 34 yards and one catch for 6 yards on three targets. He will likely share touches again, and he had minimal production against the Chiefs in their first meeting in Week 14 with eight carries for 32 yards and three catches for minus-1 yard on five targets. Murray is a low-end flex at best in the rematch in Week 17."

Start 'Em: Garrett Wilson and Drake London

"Wilson has to be the most excited player for the Jets now that Mike White is starting again. In three games with White, Wilson averaged 21.0 PPR points per game against the Bears, Vikings and Bills. He had 30 targets over that span for 19 catches, 335 yards and two touchdowns, and he should have the chance for another big game in Week 17. It's a tough matchup against Seattle and fellow rookie Tariq Woolen, but I'll still take my chances with Wilson as a starter in all leagues now that White is back. And I like Elijah Moore as a sleeper and high-end No. 3 PPR receiver since he scored at least 12 PPR points in two of three starts with White."

Sit 'Em: Michael Pittman and Diontae Johnson

"It was tough to watch Pittman play in Week 16 against the Chargers with Nick Foles under center, and Pittman was held to four catches for 39 yards on seven targets. That was the first time all season where he had at least seven targets and didn't score at least 10 PPR points. It will be difficult to trust Pittman again in Week 17 since Foles is starting again, even in PPR, and we know Pittman has been underwhelming in non- and 0.5-PPR leagues with just two touchdowns on the season. Hopefully, the Colts can fix their quarterback situation for 2023 and then Pittman can fully have a breakout campaign."

Start 'Em: Dawson Knox

"Knox has been a star of late with at least 12 PPR points in three games in a row, including three touchdowns over that span. In two of those games he has at least seven targets, and he's become a security blanket for Josh Allen, which is great. He's a must-start tight end in all leagues with an expected shootout coming Monday night at Cincinnati.The Jets went 13 weeks without allowing a touchdown to a tight end, and then they gave up one in each of the past two games against Dawson Knox in Week 14 and Brock Wright in Week 15. Engram might not score, but he's been on fire for the past three games and should remain a starter in the majority of leagues. He has at least 14 PPR points in three games in a row against Detroit, Tennessee and Dallas with 24 catches for 254 yards and three touchdowns on 32 targets over that span. Let's hope Trevor Lawrence continues to look for Engram in this matchup, and he's worth trusting even in a tough matchup on the road."

Sit 'Em: Darren Waller

"I hope Waller has a big game in Week 17 against the 49ers, but he's a little tough to trust, especially with Derek Carr being benched for Jarrett Stidham . In two games back from his eight-game absence with a hamstring injury Waller only has eight targets for seven catches, 106 yards and a touchdown. And now he has a brutal matchup in Week 17 against San Francisco. The 49ers are No. 7 in fewest Fantasy points allowed to opposing tight ends, and they have allowed just three touchdowns to the position this season. Waller will likely need to score a touchdown to save his Fantasy production, and he only has two touchdowns on the season. He's a low-end starter at best in the majority of leagues."

Start 'Em: Giants vs. IND

"Nick Foles is starting again for the Colts, and he should allow the Giants DST to have a big game in Week 17. In Week 16 against the Chargers at home, Foles was sacked seven times, threw three interceptions and Indianapolis scored just three points. The Colts have now scored six points in their past six quarters going back to Week 16 against Minnesota, and the Giants DST has top-five upside in Week 17."

Sit 'Em: Bengals vs. BUF

"The Bengals defense has been exceptional of late, holding three of their past five opponents to 16 points or less. They have at least two sacks in three games over that span, as well as three interceptions and four fumble recoveries. But this is a tough test against the Bills and Josh Allen, and you should consider benching the Bengals DST in the majority of leagues. While Allen did throw two interceptions in Week 16 at Chicago, the Bills still scored 35 points against the Bears and have at least 30 points in seven games this season. We hope this game is a shootout, which is bad for the Bills DST as well, so don't expect much defense from either team Monday night."
