FLOATING LANTERN CEREMONY

January 5, 3 - 7 PM

Join us this Sunday for a family-fun evening of reflection, hope, and community at CAM's Floating Lantern Ceremony! This special event celebrates the beauty of light and togetherness as hundreds of illuminated lanterns float across our museum pond, creating a special and memorable evening.


✨ Write a message of hope or remembrance on your lantern sleeve.✨


✨ Enjoy live music from Josh Youse on guitar and Diana Zaccaria on drums at the pond along with Dara Kahkonen on flute. Purchase special dinner options, hot chocolate, beverages, and s’mores kits from CAM Cafe. ✨


✨ Connect with the community in a meaningful and beautiful way. ✨


Proceeds from lantern purchases support CAM's ongoing educational programming.

Mary's Art Explorers is geared towards infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, but big brothers and sisters are welcome to join and create art with us. Your registration includes admission to the museum for the whole day.

Join us in the Pancoe Education Building as we read Mixed: A Colorful Story by Arree Chung. This book explores messages of acceptance and unity.


After the reading, participants will create a colorful craft. This is a great opportunity for the whole family!

Who was Martin Luther King Jr

Join us in the Pancoe Education Building as we read Who Was Martin Luther King, Jr.? by Lisbeth Kaiser, with art by Stanley Chow. The book explores messages of acceptance and unity.


Afterward, participants will create a colorful craft. This is a great opportunity for the whole family!

Kids at CAM - Close to Home

Saturday, January 18, 10 AM to 12 PM

Members: $5 per adult/child. Not-Yet Members: $10 per adult/child


This month, we will draw inspiration from our newest exhibition, Close to Home. Participants will imagine and create their own homes in various forms. Collaborate with CAM Education staff to design and construct your unique home.


Kids at CAM is a family-friendly event. Museum staff facilitate art activities for all ages, including parents. Family-friendly tours of the exhibitions are at 11:30 a.m. Learn More.


A collaboration with Cross River Therapy will happen at 9 AM. Those members will get early access to Kids at CAM to provide a sensory-friendly environment and can register through this link.

MEET MISS ASHLEY!

Miss Ashley comes to CAM from Cleveland, Ohio. Ashley has been a classroom teacher and an educator at The Museum of Contemporary Art, Cleveland. Ashley is a proud aunt to three nephews and one niece. Her favorite activities are building sandcastles and taking walks at

Long Leaf Park.
