rantnrave:// Oh, man. The GOOGLE controversy is going to get worse today. Your favorite sandwich man, THE NEW YORK TIMES columnist DAVID BROOKS calling for CEO SUNDAR PICHAI to resign. Maybe this JAMES DAMORE guy is just guilty of a total lack of emotional intelligence? Is that it? Whether you agree with his stance or not is it an example of the output or problem with a corporate culture that thinks everything is codified and is a system? Just thinking out loud. Well, ever hang out at Google? There's a lot of that. A lot of that in SILICON VALLEY to be exact. I swear some of those peeps don't even blink when they talk for like 15 minutes. It's freaky. But on the other hand, I really like a lot of the people I've met at Google over the years. I even like some of the robots. But, I don't want to dwell on this today. I want to shift the gears and give a huge ear-to-ear smiling shoutout to the GOOGLE DOODLE team (specifically the CORE HIP HOP TEAM) for their totally amazing celebration of 44TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE BIRTH OF HIP HOP. The music means so much to me. Was the soundtrack of my youth and with that love came the respect for its origins. Please play around today. Read it all. Watch the video. Play the game. They did such a great job. Love that people like this work at that company... Be your own boss—with the help of your friends. AVON-like multi-level marketing schemes have resurged in the age of FACEBOOK, but are still risky business. We tale a look in FashionSET: "Pyramid Schemes Get a Social Media Makeover"... I don't care if I can squeeze the yogurt out of the pack and don't need a machine like that dopey JUICERO. I'm getting this bad boy. Meet WIM. Would like to see some low sugar / carb options with almond milk type stuff... I don't drink COKE but this post I saw via ROSS LEVINSOHN freaked me out... You want to be freaked out further? Go see INGRID GOES WEST. A film that surprised me and I enjoyed at SUNDANCE 2017. Dark and funny is how I like it. Ingrid likes her social media. She's a bit of stalker. She's nuts. But how sane are those she admires and pines for? Great performances from AUBREY PLAZA, ELIZABETH OLSEN, O'SHEA JACKSON, JR. and a stellar breakout nut bag one from BILLY MAGNUSSEN as the nightmare of a brother. This movie soured me on social media and dating for a long moment... Every news channels should rethink their pundit strategy for both sides of the aisle. We need fruitful discussions and debates. Not pre-planned fights with one layer of talking points. This is that industry's current shame. CNN fires JEFFREY LORD. But the problem is way deeper and the causation very cynical. We're talking about our country and constructive discourse. Not the JERRY SPRINGER show. It's honestly a disgrace all over. Want to trust the news? You need trust the people that report it and critique it. If they say and do stupid s*** that breaks that trust. It's on them. Take a look at yourselves and do us the respect of fixing it... This one goes out to all your LSD micro-dosing mofos... But what about them? "What about them" is the worst f***ing rebuttal since "just because"... Need more time on my DISNEY-NETFLIX-OTT thoughts. In the next few days... Happy Birthday to RANDALL POSTER, JESSICA YOUNG WEINTROB, and NUSRAT DURRANI.

Female Action Heroes: The 11 Most Influential of Our Time

Growing up, I was lucky to witness wildly different, but equally engaging action heroines.
