| rantnrave:// YOUTUBE is the treasure trove of live music performances. Nothing like it anywhere. MTV has some of the greatest in their vaults but never got their act together to own that area and now it's too late. If you've been to concerts around the world (or watch them on YT) you know that each local audience has its own energy and personality. My vote for the greatest audiences in the world has to go to ESTADIO ANTONIO VESPUCIO LIBERTI in BUENOS AIRES, ARGENTINA. Also known at RIVER PLATE STADIUM. The crowds are huge. They know every word. And they even sing the guitar parts. But as anyone who has ever been a rock star (or wanted to be one) knows that there's nothing like the vibe coming off the "crowd bounce." A swarm of humans jumping up and down in unison to your song. Go deep here with special attention to AC/DC... With a recent exodus of some of NYC's brightest design stars, the state of FASHION WEEK has been hotly debated. Critics say it's losing relevance. Proponents say it's a space for young and up-and-coming designers to shine. FashionREDEF's MINDY MEISSEN takes a look... My friend MEGAN QUINN asked about the best underrated movies on TWITTER. So I spammed her with lots of suggestions. Why? Because when they finally ask the question you know about, go long. Here are some of my picks. All great. 24 HOUR PARTY PEOPLE. CROUPIER. LAYER CAKE. THE BIG PICTURE (maybe the funniest take down of Hollywood ever). THE IN-LAWS (1978) (top 10 funniest movie ever made). ZERO DAYS. NOCTURNAL ANIMALS. PATTI CAKE$ (in theaters now). THE INFORMANT! (MATT DAMON's most underrated movie) ELECTION. AFTER HOURS. BRICK. SHALLOW GRAVE. THE LAST SEDUCTION. TO LIVE AND DIE IN LA. BUGGY MALONE. TAPS. FRESH. EMPIRE OF THE SUN. 25TH HOUR... Happy Birthday to HOSAIN RAHMAN, ABIGAIL KLEM, JEREMIAH ZINN, DANA SETTLE, and TOBY GUNDERSON. | | - Jason Hirschhorn, curator |

| Chuck D of Public Enemy and Tom Morello of Rage Against the Machine join Jon to talk about the soundtrack of the Resistance. Then Jake Fogelnest, Cord Jefferson, and Brittani Nichols break down the latest news on Houston, Mueller's investigation, and Trump's attacks on the media. And activist Rubi Martinez talks about the threat facing undocumented young people as Trump considers rescinding DACA. Other notes: Jon bleeps one Game of Thrones spoiler, so no worries there. | |
