Yesterday he took a look at Presidential lying. Important piece. His show digs deep at the outside world and is critical of their own world... News organizations, especially cable news, need to look at who they are bringing on the air and how they are interviewing them and the discussions that take place. Been very disturbed by the lack of knowledge of political surrogates whatever the party. The job is not to rush to the next question or let a surrogate run through their list of talking points. A question gets an answer (or often not, just a deflection). That answer begets a follow-up often and I don't see it happening a lot. Any pundit that works for a news network that is paid directly or indirectly by a campaign is a non-starter for me. Diligence. Diligence. Diligence. I would also like to see these networks and other news outlets do more post-mortems and self-reflection. The verbiage on the lower third of the screen. Headline choices. What really is breaking news?
