| rantnrave:// Holy s***... What a game. It's hard to put the SUPER BOWL into words. I watched with a room full of anti-PATRIOTS fans. By the fourth quarter, we were trying to determine if DEVONTA FREEMAN, MATT RYAN or LADY GAGA was going to be the MVP. We watched and gasped as the Patriots made their comeback. When the Patriots started their final drive of regulation, there was no doubt who was going to win. At the end, our jaws were dropped and a few friends were throwing around expletives. Maybe the greatest Super Bowl ever... Oh hell, forget recency bias, it was the greatest Super Bowl ever... I hope you didn't leave your party early... The FALCONS blew a 3-1 lead... Does this make TOM BRADY the best?... How did JULIAN EDELMAN make this catch?... How did JULIO JONES make this catch?... I still can't believe the Patriots won... Give Brady his jersey back... This is the drive that doomed the Falcons... There weren't many memorable commercials but the MR. CLEAN ad was so damn weird... The Patriots radio call of JAMES WHITE's game-winning TD was the best one... Caption this... The FOX broadcast received a strong review. Then again, who cares what the critics say when you're raking in the ad fees... The BOSTON GLOBE front page... If New England didn't come back, this was going to be the photo on every front page this morning... Celebrate like GISELE and no one is watching... Some people had flashbacks SUNDAY night... Brady wasn't scared of no jinx... MARTELLUS BENNETT isn't going to the WHITE HOUSE.. I can't imagine what it feels like to be a Falcons fan this morning... TEEN VOGUE and JESSICA LUTHER teamed up for a "Girls in the Game" series on women and football. Unlike some sports content that's oriented towards women, this doesn't pander to them. It's serious and interesting. | | - Mike Vorkunov, curator |

In sports, everything always seems obvious in retrospect, but we should always remember just how shocking and unbelievable in the moment the Patriots' comeback from 25 points down to win the Super Bowl was. It's the reason we watch sports.

This wasn’t just another in Atlanta’s lengthy series of Hard Knocks and Epic Collapses. This was the absolute worst. This was the game that, with 17 minutes and seven seconds remaining, could not be lost. It was.

Ten years ago, Sumail Hassan just wanted to play computer games at a cybercafe in his native Pakistan. What once seemed like a raw deal has turned into a lucrative career. Team EG pocketed a cool $6.6 million for the win, the largest purse ever for an e-sports tournament at the time, propelling the players’ celebrity in gaming circles to the stratosphere of Stephen Curry and Tom Brady. While millions of fans will be glued to Sunday’s Super Bowl matchup between Brady’s New England Patriots...

Since this weekend I’ve been asking myself where the line is drawn between natural progression and stupidity? How do we differentiate acceptable risk from negligence when we’re dealing with extreme sports, where risk is inherently part of the equation? At what point does it cross over from entertainment to exploitation?

His body curled like a question mark, his left arm bent and pressed against his rib cage to still the tremors in his hand, Bill Martucci trotted across the expansive driveway that years ago he and his three sons had converted into a basketball court.

The Super Bowl of two years ago may be remembered as the most-watched television broadcast in US history - at least prior to Super Bowl LI - or for the Patriots’ most recent Super Bowl win, or for the questionable call with just seconds remaining that blew Seattle’s last chance to score and resulted in said victory. On the other hand, it might also be remembered for being the last year where we saw a commercial like Carl’s Jr.’s spot for its All-Natural Burger featuring Charlotte McKinney.

In his fourth full NHL season, the 27-year-old Atkinson is tied for fourth league-wide in goals (24) and tied for 15th in points (46), through Thursday. He's the leading scorer on the upstart Blue Jackets, their shifty triggerman on the top power play unit, and a steady penalty-killer.
