rantnrave:// What's a normal aging curve in sports anymore? TOM BRADY and LEBRON JAMES aren't following one. Quarterbacks start slipping in their 30s. Brady is playing as good as ever at 40. DREW BREES is still slinging it well at 38. LeBron is in his 15th season and still the best player in the NBA. He's hardly seen a dip in the playoffs from his prime. What can we take from their careers? They're outliers in terms of performance but what about in longevity? Sports science is a bedrock of most organizations. NBA players play fewer minutes to protect their bodies from breaking down. NFL players have fewer double-session practices, take fewer hits, and rules are made to guard QBs like never before. Injury prevention is the next MONEYBALL. Sleep, hydration, diet and supplements -- everything is monitored. NFL players are getting younger because they're cheaper than veterans, but can this new generation maintain its effectiveness for a longer period? Will NBA stars have a longer prime? If not, then Brady and LeBron are even more remarkable. How long can they keep going? Will Brady still be winning championships at 45? Will LeBron remain unstoppable at 40? History says it's unlikely but precedent doesn't seem to apply with them... HULK HOGAN vs. ANDRE THE GIANT. The Monday Night Wars. The Attitude Era. THE ROCK and STONE COLD. The WRESTLEMANIA moments, heel turns and feuds that took wrestling from regional shows to global tours. SportsSET: "Off the Top Rope: Wrestling Oral Histories"... JENNY VRENTAS spent last week with the EAGLES for THE MMQB. That's great timing. She came away with a great story. Probably thought she'd trail a SUPER BOWL contender as it faced two others. Instead she was positioned for the moment the Eagles' season flipped when CARSON WENTZ tore his ACL... Not all super teams are super. The THUNDER are below .500. Super teams seems like simple math. Add a few superstars together and boom. Alchemy ain't easy. The HEAT started 9-8 in LEBRON JAMES' first season in MIAMI. KOBE + NASH + DWIGHT flamed out fast. The WARRIORS made it look easy. OKC shows how it can go wrong... A few good samaritans helped some strangers in distress during a BUFFALO snowstorm.

Disney and Fox

It's always a risk writing about a deal before it is official: CNBC reported a month ago that Disney was in talks to acquire many of 21st Century Fox's assets, including its eponymous movie studio, TV production company, cable channels, and international assets (but not the Fox broadcast network, Fox News, FS1 -- Fox's sports channel -- and Fox Business).

There was a slight breeze blowing through the window of my office as the afternoon sun was finally about to descend for the day. I texted my wife: "This is it. I think we're done." My wife, who doesn't know HORNS from ICE but can tell a Zeller from a Plumlee, texted back: "Looking like summer.
