a quick note of thanks to all those who commented on our Java Specialists articles:

We already have 45 comments adorning our latest articles and I've not had to delete a single Spam comment! I've turned off advertising and affiliate links. I've also allowed people to comment without registering to Disqus. Guest comments need my moderation, so there will a slight delay until they appear.

I understand that not everyone is a fan of Disqus. I'm not a huge fan either. If you block Disqus, you can still read my newsletter, you just won't see the comments from other readers. The comments are excellent and definitely enhance each article.

So thank you to all those who took time out of their busy schedule to write a quick comment. Any additional comments would be welcome. 45 is a great start though :-)

I did look around for a better system and even considered reinventing the wheel, but I do think my time is spent better on other activities.

I've also given other options of discussing each article, either via email directly to me or in our #newsletter channel of our Slack team.
