Java 21 is being launched tomorrow and we are going to watch it live on YouTube and discuss what's being said in our #java21 slack channel. I hope you can join us!
Oracle reduced their LTS cadence to two years, thus Java 21 is an Oracle LTS release. Other vendors are likely to follow. Java 21 is one of the most significant updates, because it comes with virtual threads baked in and other significant upgrades. We already run part of our JavaSpecialists website on virtual threads, and we predict that all application servers will soon support virtual threads.
Since Java 21 is a significant update, we will use our #java21 slack channel to chat about the talks as they are happening on the YouTube channel. Added bonus: we know most of the speakers, so we can take tough questions to them directly, and hopefully get answers pronto.
