La Tchéquie doit veiller à ce que les chaînes d'approvisionnement en produits importants et en matières premières fonctionnent, afin d'éviter tout chantage. C'est ce qu'a déclaré le ministre des Affaires étrangères, Jan Lipavský, à l'ouverture d'une réunion des diplomates économiques tchèques à Prague ce lundi.
Selon M. Lipavský, la République tchèque a longtemps bénéficié d'une période de sécurité et de croissance économique après son adhésion à l'Union européenne en 2004, mais la situation a changé avec l'agression de la Russie contre l'Ukraine en 2022. "La menace de l'impérialisme russe et la détérioration de l'environnement international nous obligent à travailler à nouveau sur la sécurité et à réévaluer notre conception des intérêts économiques. Garantir la sécurité est la clé de notre prospérité", a déclaré le ministre.
Visite ce lundi en Tchéquie du président argentin, Javier Milei, après son passage à Berlin. Il sera reçu dans la soirée par le président tchèque, Petr Pavel, au Château de Prague. L'entretien portera sur les relations mutuelles entre les deux pays ainsi que sur la situation globale en matière de sécurité, selon un communiqué officiel. Auparavant, J. Milei participe à une conférence avec une intervention intitulée "Que faire face à un gouvernement inefficace" au Palais Žofín.
Il s'agit de la première visite ici de ce président controversé depuis son élection il y a un peu plus de six mois. L'Argentine est le quatrième pays d'exportation le plus important d'Amérique latine pour la Tchéquie.
"Attention, les tiques sont extrêmement actives dans la majeure partie de notre pays aujourd'hui", a indiqué l'institut tchèque d'hydrométéorologie ČHMÚ sur les réseaux sociaux ce lundi.
"En raison des maladies dont les tiques peuvent être porteuses, veillez à vous faire examiner lorsque vous revenez de l'extérieur. N'attendez surtout pas que quelque chose commence à vous démanger", prévient l'institut, qui recommande d'emprunter des chemins pavés et d'utiliser des sprays anti-tiques.
Le grand magasin Máj, situé dans le centre de Prague, a rouvert ses portes lundi, après avoir subi d'importants travaux de rénovation. Sur neuf étages, le célèbre bâtiment situé à l'angle des rues Národní et Spálená propose des boutiques, des restaurants, des divertissements et une terrasse sur le toit. Il abrite également un supermarché Tesco.
Les travaux de rénovation de ce bâtiment datant des années 1970 ont été lancés à la mi-2022 et ont coûté 4,5 milliards de CZK. La facade est désormais ornée d'oeuvres géantes et mobiles en forme de papillons conçues par David Černý.
Dagmar Havlová, belle-sœur de Václav Havel, a vendu une participation majoritaire dans le palais Lucerna du centre de Prague pour près d'un milliard de CZK à la société BTL, a rapporté le magazine Forbes ce lundi.
Mme Havlová, homonyme de la veuve de l'ancien président, conserve une participation de 25 % dans le palais Lucerna, construit par Vácslav Havel (le grand-père de Václav Havel et de son défunt mari Ivan Havel).
Elle a déclaré que l'argent récolté lors de la vente serait consacré à la rénovation de ce bâtiment déclaré monument culturel national en 2017.
L'attaquant vedette des Boston Bruins, David Pastrňák, a été comme l'an passé désigné meilleur hockeyeur tchèque de l'année pour la septième fois. Le gardien Lukáš Dostál a terminé deuxième et l'attaquant Martin Nečas troisième. La 56e édition de la cérémonie traditionnelle de cette enquête pour "la crosse d'or" (Zlatá hokejka) a symboliquement clôturé l'année de hockey au cours de laquelle la Tchéquie a remporté l'or aux championnats du monde à domicile, grâce notamment à un but de Pastrňák en finale contre la Suisse.
Pastrňák a reçu 595 voix lors du vote des représentants du département sportif de la Fédération tchèque de hockey sur glace, des entraîneurs des équipes nationales et des clubs de l'Extraliga, ainsi que des journalistes sportifs. Il a devancé de 79 points Dostál, deuxième du classement, qui s'est imposé principalement grâce à ses performances pendant le Mondial.

Alors que de nombreux Français de l’étranger s’apprêtent à voter électroniquement pour les législatives anticipées des 30 juin et 7 juillet, les Tchèques vivant loin de leur pays attendent toujours de se voir octroyer le droit de voter par correspondance. Un moyen de voter qui a suscité bien des controverses, mais qui pourrait bientôt devenir réalité après le feu vert donné, vendredi, par une majorité de députés tchèques.
Six mois après la fusillade qui a fait 14 morts et 25 blessés à la Faculté des lettres de l’Université Charles de Prague, la police a publié les résultats de l’enquête menée sur les événements tragiques survenus le 21 décembre 2023.
Accrochée par la Géorgie contre laquelle elle a dû se contenter d’un résultat nul (1-1), samedi, la Tchéquie ne compte qu’un point après deux matchs disputés à l’Euro de football. Mercredi soir, il lui faudra donc très probablement battre la Turquie pour se qualifier pour les huitièmes de finale.
