| | JD Vance Wrote A Book Blurb For Jack Posobiec, Far-Right Pizzagate Influencer | | Donald Trump’s vice presidential running mate, Sen. JD Vance, endorsed a book published this month by Jack Posobiec, a right-wing influencer famous for helping spread the Pizzagate conspiracy theory in 2016.
Posobiec’s book, written with Joshua Lisec, is titled “Unhumans: The Secret History of Communist Revolutions (and How to Crush Them).”
Vance wrote an “editorial review,” commonly known as a blurb, praising the book. It’s a small but fresh example of how conspiracy theorists have become massively influential among Republicans.
“In the past, communists marched in the streets waving red flags. Today, they march through HR, college campuses, and courtrooms to wage lawfare against good, honest people,” Vance wrote. “In ‘Unhumans,’ Jack Posobiec and Joshua Lisec reveal their plans and show us what to do to fight back.” | |

| Vance also wrote the foreword for an upcoming book penned by an architect of Project 2025, the right-wing “presidential transition project” from which Trump has desperately tried to distance himself in recent weeks. The book, “Dawn’s Early Light” by Heritage Foundation president Kevin Roberts, is scheduled for release in September. A description from its publisher says it “blazes a warpath for the American people to take back their country,” and says conservatives should “burn down” various “corrupt” institutions. |

| Barely a week after coup-attempting former President Donald Trump was nearly assassinated at a rally in Pennsylvania, a speaker at an Ohio rally for Vance called for “civil war” if Trump does not win back the White House. “I’m afraid if we lose this one, it’s going to take a civil war to save the country,” said George Lang, a state senator from the Cincinnati area, shortly before Vance took the stage at his first solo rally in Middletown, his hometown. |

| Republicans this week unleashed a wave of attacks against Vice President Kamala Harris, the likely Democratic presidential nominee, accusing her of being a radical based on some of the liberal positions she took during her 2020 run for the Oval Office. Although more voters associate her with issues like abortion and health care, the vice president is less known in relation to public safety topics like crime and immigration, giving Republicans an opening to define her in those areas in the months ahead. |
