It’s fitting that a billionaire like Jeff Bezos would have a vast array of homes spread throughout the country’s most expensive cities. The latest addition to the Amazon and Blue Origin founder’s already extensive portfolio lies in the land of paradise, also known as Maui. Bezos and his longtime partner Lauren Sanchez reportedly picked up a 14-acre oceanfront estate that is isolated and remote, even by Hawaii standards. The La Perouse Bay property sports dense vegetation and includes a main house, guesthouse, swimming pool and private access to a white-sand beach. Elsewhere, fellow billionaire Marc Andreessen and his wife Laura Arrillaga paid a record-breaking $177 million for a Malibu compound.
