Jeff Landry says border deployment has been a success

BY JESSICA WILLIAMS | Capitol News Bureau Editor

Border watch: Citing reduced border crossings in recent months, Gov. Jeff Landry said the Louisiana National Guard's deployment to the U.S.-Mexico border has been a success, James Finn reports.

Public records: Landry and his staffers' records would be shielded from public view under a proposal the Senate is weighing to change the state's open records law, James Finn reports. Landry originally wanted to shield the records of every public agency in the state.

Not great, but it's home: Most Louisiana voters don't feel the state has a great quality of life, but plan to stay here anyway, according to a new poll. James Finn has the details on why voters are disenfranchised with the state but still stay.
