| | Welcome to Digital Infrastructure Month It's August, and the month when Technical.ly focuses on digital infrastructure. For this editorial calendar theme, we'll be answering questions like: What have been the effects of federal legislation intended to expand digital access locally? What’s the future of the Internet of Things and 5G? What physical infrastructure is still needed to bring access to nearby rural areas? That's all looking at the topic from government and technical lenses. With the primary races in Maryland coming to a close, where candidates fall on digital infrastructure and internet accessibility is an important consideration. But the pandemic and the rise of remote work have made many companies in the private sector reimagine what this topic means internally and for employees, too. Whether it be public or private sector, what does digital infrastructure mean for you? What's the most pressing issue in digital infrastructure, in your mind? Let us know by replying to this email or sending a note to baltimore@technical.ly, anytime. — Technical.ly reporter Donte Kirby (donte@technical.ly) P.S. Did you miss us on Thursday? We took the day off from publishing thanks to our first in-person, all-team retreat in three years. Glad to be back, but also, glad to just hang out with coworkers sometimes, ya know?
