Riverfront redevelopment: More riverfront development is on the way in New Orleans. The Audubon Institute released plans for a $30 million redevelopment of the land along the Mississippi River between the Moonwalk and Crescent Park, Stephanie Riegel reports. The plan proposes more green space, playgrounds and a long pedestrian walkway.
Judge Tammy Stewart dies: New Orleans Juvenile Court Judge Tammy Stewart died Monday after a brief illness. She was 53. Stewart’s death brought an outpouring of accolades from New Orleans political leaders, Jillian Kramer reports.
