Joan Sutherland and Richard Bonynge in recital

In 1974, Joan Sutherland, one of the great operatic sopranos of the twentieth century, returned to Australia with her partner in music and life conductor and pianist Richard Bonynge for a very special intimate song recital tour.

As part of our special celebration series, Classic 90 for 90, re-live the very special finale to that tour, a farewell recital and live broadcast from the Sydney Opera House on 9 August 1974.
