Pink slips from Dennis Allen, a tax proposal from Joe Lopinto and sexual harassment alleged against Laurie White

By Drew Broach | Deputy metro editor

OUT WITH THE OLD: Dennis Allen started remaking the New Orleans Saints coaching staff Wednesday, bidding adieu to longtime strength and conditioning coach Dan Dalrymple, offensive line coach Brendan Nugent and offensive analyst Jim Chaney. Allen is considering hiring a pair of former Saints assistants.

Here are some key questions facing Allen as he settles into the head coaching job, and some speculation from Cameron Jordan about Sean Payton's next move.

SAFETY TAX: Jefferson Parish Sheriff Joe Lopinto III plans to ask voters April 30 to increase property taxes by $28 million a year to raise employee pay by 15% to 20%. It would be the first tax increase for the Sheriff's Office since 1993. White denies wrongdoing and says she plans to continue at her job.

UNBOWED: Laurie White, a 15-year veteran judge of the Orleans Parish Criminal District Court, stands accused by a courthouse employee of making a sexual advance on the worker on more than one occasion, the accuser's attorney says. White denies wrongdoing, says she asked the court to investigate the complaint and vows to continue doing her job.
