John McDougall, MD: The Lower GI Tract

Dr. McDougall concludes his two-part lecture series on the digestive tract. In the second part, he discusses the lower GI tract, including the small and large intestine as well as the appendix. The small intestine is where all of our essential nutrients and vitamins are absorbed. The large intestine houses our gut microbiome where the good and bad bacteria act as a window into our overall health.
