Good evening, At last we have a framework showing us how we might get out of lockdown -a roadmap you might say - that we can all work towards. In two weeks time, pupils will return to schools and colleges and we can meet one person outside in a social setting. Those may seem like small concessions, but to some they will be a godsend. And the Prime Minister says he is determined to take those small steps throughout on the road out of lockdown, taking five weeks to ensure we can cope with one sector opening up before we move on to the next phase. That means there will be no Easter breaks, no haircuts before April 12 at the earliest and no foreign holidays or nights in the pub before May 17. And it will be June 21 at the earliest before we can consider ourselves back to anything like normal. That may seem like a long way off. But given the sacrifices we have all made already, it would be madness to go too quickly and end up back in lockdown. Yes, it is a cautious approach. but it is exactly what we have to do.
