| This week was all about our Skate and Create program, so we were celebrating skateboarding and creativity. A couple of weeks ago some of our students painted a Citizens of Skateistan banner to celebrate Go Skateboarding Day. They got together as a community to design, paint and show how skateboarding and art go hand in hand. Famous skate artists of the world agree, and The LB Project is another great example of how skateboarding and art can be a force for good. For $10 a month, you can become a Citizen of Skateistan. Donating $40 a month is the equivalent of paying for one Afghan student to attend Skate and Create for a whole year! As you will see in this newsletter our students get a lot out of the program, from making new friends, to getting some well-deserved playtime.
