It's often blamed for the housing crisis, gang violence and social dysfunction as well as putting pressure on hospitals and schools. But don’t we also need more skilled migrants to fix our skills shortages? Or to do many jobs in regional Western Australia which is crying out for workers? So, are there too many people coming into Australia? Or just not enough of the “right” sort of people? Immigration policies will be up for debate at the next Mornings Spotlight Forum on Wednesday June 18 from 10am to 11am at the ABC Studios in East Perth. Our expert panel will discuss the impact of current immigration levels and try to separate fact from fiction. If you'd like to be part of our live studio audience you can register for free tickets below. Nadia | |
