Anne Frank and the other names in the digital archives

Today, on International Holocaust Memorial Day, the Anne Frank House participates in the #everynamecounts project and calls on everyone to contribute. The project is an initiative of Arolsen Archives and was set up to build a digital memorial to the victims of Nazism with the help of volunteers from all over the world.

The digitisation process is simple and does not require specialist knowledge. Once you log on to the website of Arolsen Archives, you are guided to randomly chosen archived documents and asked to transcribe the names and details from these documents and enter them into the database.

Donate to the Anne Frank House

The world is going through an unprecedented crisis, which has enormous consequences for all of us, and therefore also for the Anne Frank House. As part of the global effort to stop the spread of the Corona virus, we had to close our museum temporarily. As an independent museum that is not subsidised by the state or the city, we rely to a large extent on the revenues from museum visits for our income. For that reason, if you decide to donate to the museum, we thank you for your generosity. Every small donation really does help.
