The Brookings Institution and Variety invite you to the premiere of a new documentary short film about a courageous family fighting to treat their daughter's debilitating illness with medical marijuana.

On April 18, Variety and Brookings will host a screening of "The Life She Deserves," an intimate portrait of Jennifer Collins and her family's struggle to find a treatment to control her debilitating epilepsy.
The film will be followed by a reception and discussion on the role of film to affect policy and the current picture of state-level marijuana legalization and federal restrictions on the use of and clinical research into medical marijuana.
