A Bintel Brief: An online production

We’re excited to partner with Pacific Resident Theatre in Venice, CA, to bring A Bintel Brief to life. A Bintel Brief was the Forward's advice column wherein European Jewish immigrants, living on the Lower East Side of New York, unburdened their hearts and revealed their deepest truths.

Pacific Resident Theatre's production is an online dramatized documentary style performance of our historic advice column.

Juneteenth 2021: How American Jews are reflecting on a year of racial reckoning

Last summer's historic protests reverberated across the country and the Jewish world has been struggling to meet the moment. How effective have the efforts been? What else can Jews do to fight for racial justice?

Rabbi Sandra Lawson of Reconstructing Judaism and Tema Smith, a Forward contributing columnist, will join our editor-in-chief, Jodi Rudoren, for their second annual Juneteenth conversation.

This talk will be recorded and sent to registrants.
