By Bob Warren Big basketball night in New Orleans: It’s a big night for New Orleans. North Carolina and Kansas will meet in the Caesars Superdome for the NCAA national basketball championship. New Orleans is hosting the Final Four for the sixth time and the city has been awash in tourists spending big bucks.
Jon Batiste cleans up at the Grammys: Speaking of big nights, how about the one Jon Batiste enjoyed last night? The New Orleans born musician absolutely cleaned up a the Grammy Awards in Vegas. Cassidy's Supreme Court vote: U.S. Sen. Bill Cassidy said this morning he'll vote against Ketanji Brown Jackson's nomination to the U.S. Supreme Court. Cassidy is a Republican and some Louisiana politics watchers said this vote might be an indicator of his interest in running for governor. Here's the story.
