Josh Guillory's wife, other LCG employees received free LUS fiber

At least five people who worked in the administration of former Lafayette Mayor-President Josh Guillory, including Guillory's wife, received more Lafayette Utilities System Fiber service than they paid for.

An independent audit of Lafayette Consolidated Government for the fiscal year Nov. 1, 2022, through Oct. 31, 2023, that was released last week indicates some LUS Fiber customers are either receiving a higher package of services than they are billed for or are not being billed at all.

The audit did not name the customers or indicate how many were involved.
