It has been a full an incredible year of ministry for our teen-residential program since the completion of our new girl’s home during the spring and the re-launch of our boy’s home. We have more teens on campus right now than at any time in our 20+ year history. We’ve experienced an unprecedented volume of calls from families seeking help the past several months and have kept a waiting list of applicants. We’ve also been able to celebrate the beautiful changes the Lord has brought in young ladies like Abby, Emily and Riley as they have completed the program. I’m including a couple of links to Riley and her mom, Jessica’s, testimonies below. The return on your investment as a partner here at The Joy House is the changes Christ brings in the lives of those we’re privileged to serve.
With the opening of a 3rd home on our campus and the increased numbers of teens and families we’re ministering with comes additional operating costs. Our annual operating costs have increased by approximately $100K. We have been blessed by the Lord this year through our partners giving to meet these increased expenses. However, as we enter the final quarter of the year October and November are typically our most difficult from a cash-flow perspective and this year doesn’t look any different.
We want to make our partners aware of all the great work the Lord is doing here through our staff and give you the opportunity to help meet these increased needs during these next couple of months as we move toward year-end giving.
