A Teen Residential Program and Community Counseling Center It has been an incredible year of ministry here at The Joy House as we’ve served more teens and families through our teen-residential program than at any time in our history. With the opening of our new girl’s home and serving more teens and families came an increase in our budget. As we’re closing out 2023 we’re asking the Lord for an outpouring of giving to continue meeting those needs and for beginning 2024 strong as we still have a waiting list of teens and families seeking help. Give Today Mae Lynn's Story Hi, my name is Mae Lynn and I am a resident of The Joy House. When I first came to The Joy House I was disrespectful, defiant, rude and rebellious against authority, I was also doing really bad in school on purpose to spite my mom, but it ended up just hurting me. At first I hated The Joy House and all I could think about was how much I wanted to be home. Then about three or four months after being here I started to realize what an amazing opportunity I had at The Joy House.  My house parents Mr. Chase and Mrs. Veronica are kind, understanding and disciplined, Mr.D (aka Darren) is the best counselor I have ever had, also Ms. Robin and the other ladies at school are amazing. We go to a great church that has really helped me grow in my relationship with the Lord. Now, I am compassionate, respectful, kind, I submit to authority and I am ahead and doing great in school.
