There's a lot to look forward to this season! Banjo wizard Béla Fleck kicks off the season with a cross-generational Bluegrass program, and, in February, Damien Sneed and Karen Clark Sheard will present A Tribute to Aretha Franklin.

Other feel-good highlights include an all-Beethoven program by Emanuel Ax, Leonidas Kavakos, and Yo-Yo Ma; jazz supergroup Redman, Mehldau, McBride and Blade revisiting a beloved project in A MoodSwing Reunion; and prodigy siblings Sheku and Isata Kanneh-Mason's return to the Series for an evening of timeless cello and piano sonatas.

When these jazz titans released the landmark MoodSwing album during their mid-20s, each band member was widely considered a “future star” of jazz. Now, nearly three decades later, they’re reuniting as a supergroup quartet to explore the evocative compositions and relatable musical approach that made MoodSwing a rare, instant hit.

Cellist Sheku Kanneh-Mason and pianist Isata Kanneh-Mason are two prodigiously talented siblings who are topping the classical charts in Britain and are well on their way to becoming household names. They astounded a sellout crowd at Jordan Hall in 2019, and take the stage at Symphony Hall for their triumphant return to Boston!
