Judge tells EEOC to reconsider wellness regulations
US District Judge John Bates on Tuesday told the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission to reconsider two components of employee wellness program regulations, but did not strike them down, saying it could be too disruptive. Bates sided with the AARP, which contended the EEOC had not explained how it determined when wellness programs are voluntary under federal law.
