BREAKING NEWS BRIEF
A California movie producer has been charged with operating a prostitution ring Image Source: Daily Mail A California movie producer was arrested Thursday on a New York indictment accusing him of using a movie production company to operate an international prostitution business.
Dillon Jordan, 49, is listed among dozens of producers on films including the 2018 film The Kindergarten Teacher, which featured Maggie Gyllenhaal, and the 2019 movie The Kid, which starred Ethan Hawke.
"For years, Dillon Jordan operated an extensive and far-reaching prostitution business through two front companies — a purported party and event planning company and an actual movie production company," U.S. Attorney Audrey Strauss said in a release. "Now the party is over and the film is a wrap."

We all know about inflation, but "shrinkflation" may take you by surprise Downsizing and shrinkflation both refer to the same thing: companies reducing the size or quantity of their products while charging the same price or even more.
"Downsizing is really a sneaky price increase," Dworsky says. "Consumers tend to be price conscious. But they're not net-weight conscious. They can tell instantly if they're used to paying $2.99 for a carton of orange juice and that goes up to $3.19. But if the orange juice container goes from 64 ounces to 59 ounces, they're probably not going to notice."

TIRED OF OFFICE POLITICS?
Republicans who wanted Donald Trump impeached are raking in the money Image Source: Politico Being in the thick of the political fundraising season, it is interesting to see which candidates up for reelection are struggling to find funding for their campaigns and which ones are raking in the cash. As it turns out, several Republicans who supported impeaching Donald Trump are making money for their campaigns hand over fist.
Liz Cheney is leading the pack when it comes to fundraising success. Cheney was one of the most outspoken GOP critics of Trump, especially during his last days in office. But that hasn’t stopped her from padding her campaign’s bank account, since she just raised nearly $1.9 million during the second quarter and ended June with a whopping $2.8 million in the bank.
Adam Kinzinger, another pro-impeachment Reublican, is having just as much success as Cheney with his fundraising efforts. He was able to bring in just over $800,000 in the second quarter, giving him a grand total of $3 million so far for his campaign.
And that trend continues throughout the political arena. Which other candidates are raking in the cash for their campaigns in spite of being outspoken Trump critics?

LEARNING FROM THE PAST
Disneyland has a troubled opening in 1955 with some dubbing it "Black Sunday" According to Neal Gabler’s book Walt Disney: The Triumph of the American Imagination, an estimated 70 million people — in a country of 165 million — tuned in to watch the unveiling of Disneyland co-hosted by actor and future president Ronald Reagan.
While the unveiling looked like something out of a dream, the actual opening was less than spectacular. Popular rides were closed, the temperature reached 100 degrees, it was overcrowded thanks to party crashers and counterfeit tickets, and the snack bars and restaurants quickly ran out of food.
Even by southern California standards, the seven-mile backup to Disneyland on the Santa Ana Freeway was epic. Passengers baked in their cars, and kids were forced to take bathroom breaks on the side of the freeway and even in the Disneyland parking lot.

That's precisely where goal and habit tracking apps can come in handy.
When we make new choices to achieve a new outcome, "we are effectively changing our brain patterns that have been engraved over many years," explains Angie Swartz, a life coach and executive business coach, and the founder of Life Purpose Advisor.
"We not only need to look at what we want, but also at what's blocking us from already having those things, as well as the triggers that keep us going back to the safe, [familiar] ways we've always done things."
