MARY'S ART EXPLORERS

Children Ages 2 & Under: Free

Art Explorers is geared towards infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, but big brothers and sisters are welcome to join and create art with us. Your registration includes admission to the museum for the whole day. Space is limited so preregister to guarantee your spot!

SUMMER SONG

This week we will read Summer Song by Kevin Henkes and illustrated by Laura Dronzek. Afterwards, we will participate in summer inspired activities in CAM's Courtyard.

THE KINDNESS QUILT

This week we will read The Kindness Quilt by Nancy Elizabeth Wallace, and will create a project inspired by our current exhibition, The Work of Their Hands.

ACCESS Wilmington Members: Free

This month will feature The Work of Their Hands artist, Dr. Bobbi Fitzsimmons. Multiple activities for all experiences and age levels will focus on the art of quilting. Some activities will be able to be taken home, others will be part of a larger community quilting experience. Families attending Kids at CAM are encouraged to attend the Patch Work Community Quilting Session.

Kids at CAM this month is a collaboration with ACCESS Wilmington.

PATCH WORK: COMMUNITY QUILTING SESSION

SATURDAY, JULY 20, 11 AM-2 PM

Suggested Donation: $5 Adults / $10 Families

ACCESS Wilmington Members: Free

Visitors of any age are invited to work on a square that can be added to a representative quilt of CAM’s community. All supplies provided, and staff will be on hand to assist with basic sewing instructions.

MEET MISS ASHLEY!

Miss Ashley comes to CAM from Cleveland, Ohio. Ashley has been a classroom teacher and an educator at The Museum of Contemporary Art, Cleveland. Ashley is a proud aunt to three nephews and one niece. Her favorite activities are building sandcastles and taking walks at

Long Leaf Park.

TEEN CAMP: WHEN WORLDS COLLIDE

Instructor: Raine Morgan

Learn about the bright and energetic colors of fantasy artist Kenny Scharf. This mixed media camp uses a variety of materials to create, like found objects and any surface you an imagine for painting: surfboards, skateboards, canvas, fabric, you name it!

CARDBOARD FUN

Instructor: Shannon Gehen

Create animals, food, simple machines, and other creative sculptures with cardboard and other recycled materials.

PRINT, STAMP, REPEAT

Instructor: Donna Moore

A fusion of traditional printmaking and found object stamping. Introduction to design through pattern printing on paper and fabrics – decorating functional clothing, small folded books, and wall art.
