Beat the Heat
As of late May we had already distributed 120 bottles of water to the homeless in our community. We are currently over 400 bottles with July, August and September remaining. We are on track to pass last year’s mark of 500 and possibly hit 1000 bottles. It is my privilege to share with you, all the thanks and words of appreciation I get. Please accept this on their behalf for your generosity.
Updates
We are starting to see more activity as Covid-19 restrictions are easing up. Safety is still the number one priority. Please continue to pray for our vulnerable citizens. Also, add to your prayer list a potential temporary place to open operations.
Upcoming Events
July 24 and 25 will be the Mission’s first Yard Sale fundraiser.

Anyone wanting to help, donate items or host your own Yard Sale as a Mission benefit, simply text Ed at: 615-605-1705. Plan to drop by, you never know what you may find.
September 10 is the original scheduled date for the MRM Parade of Partners fundraiser featuring Christian comedian Peppi Garrett. However, we are postponing this event to be rescheduled at a later date. We are actively monitoring our city, county, and state protocols on public meetings to see when a better time would be to hold such an event. Hopefully, we will have more information for you in the August newsletter.
Volunteer Spotlight
Whether it is folding sheets, vacuuming floors, or passing out water, Kaylee has done it all. We are so blessed by her great attitude and hard work. While in High School, Kaylee worked at both McDonalds and Adams Place. While School was out, she took her CNA exam and passed it. Just two weeks ago she marched across the football field at Blackman High School and earned her High School diploma. Her accomplishments include: Magna Cum Laude and Work Ethic Distinction. Tiah and I are so proud of our daughter and look forward to what God has as she starts her journey toward a degree in nursing.
