In June 2020, FinTech startups worldwide raised $3.3 billion worth of VC/PE investments across 212 deals. In terms of MoM trends, there was a decrease of 4.6% from the $3.46 billion raised by FinTechs in terms of VC funding in May 2020. With regard to the number of deals, there was an increase of 7% MoM compared to 198 deals in May.

In region-specific terms, the Americas dominated global FinTech VC funding in June with 74.4% in contributions in terms of funding value ($2.46 billion) and 51% in terms of the number of deals (108). Europe placed second with 19.3% in contributions to global FinTech VC funding in June by value ($640 million) and 28.3% in terms of the number of deals (60).
