Looking Back: Photo Highlights of Our 2016-17 Season
Our 2016-17 Season may be over, but the memories will be staying with us—thanks in large part to Celebrity Series photographer Robert Torres. Each year, he spends countless hours behind the viewfinder capturing the emotion and energy behind 100 main stage performances, community concerts, workshops, and more. As we wrap up our 78th Season, we've asked him to share a collection of his favorites snapshots—from both on and off the stage—and now invite you to relive the season through his remarkable photography!
Free Community Concert: Ryan Edwards and Federator No. 1
Composer-percussionist Ryan Edwards and the premier Afro-beat band Federator No.1 will present a live performance outdoors this Saturday, June 10, at Noon. Federator No.1 brings together Afro-beat and Afro-dance music with originals and arrangements of familiar tunes. They are traditional yet unapologetically modern, maintaining the power of music to speak to today’s culture, politics, and music. Special guests will include student drummers from the Lena Park Community Center.
