  The jury deliberating the fate of Manafort, the former Trump campaign chairman, was granted a recess just before 5 p.m. Friday by U.S. District Judge T.S. Ellis III. A juror in the tax and bank fraud case had sent a note requesting a recess because of a previously scheduled "event." The nature of the event was not disclosed. The panel will resume deliberations on Monday.
